Dr. Roopesh Kumar is a Neurosurgeon practicing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with 28+ years of experience. Prior to joining SIMS Hospital, Dr Roopesh Kumar headed the Department of Neurosurgery at JIPMER which he established with fully equipped Neurosurgery ICU, Neuro trauma ICU and facilities for state of art management of all complex Neurosurgical procedures. Dr Roopesh Kumar has been an invited Faculty for various National and International Conferences to deliver lectures across India and abroad. He has also organized various conferences, Surgery workshops, cadaver workshops and CMEs. Areas of focus include Vagus Nerve Stimulation (Epilepsy), Decompression Micovascular Carotid Cavernous Fistula Treatment, and Brain Suite. Qualifications include MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Neuro Surgery. Performed the first pediatric Awake Craniotomy in the country.
