I am an ENT surgeon specialising in cochlear implants, otology, lateral skull base surgery, and facial nerve surgery, based at AHRI Gwalior — central India's leading centre for cochlear implantation. I started the cochlear implant programme at AHRI in 2008 and performed my first implant in 2009. Since then, I have completed over 400 cochlear implant surgeries — across all major implant platforms (Cochlear, Advanced Bionics, MED-EL, Neubio, Oticon) — with zero major surgical complications. I was the first independent ENT surgeon in central India to establish a cochlear implant programme, and the first Indian surgeon to receive the International Visiting Scholarship from the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), Boston, 2010.
